“Helfer will be joining us in Solitude, with your permission Mikael,” Ubergard stated when they returned to the inn.

“Excellent! Glad to have you with us officially, Helfer! Kitty has already paid Jonna so if you’re ready, we’re off!”

And with that, the four took to the road again, stepping down off the porch of the Inn.

“Mikael!” hissed Kitty under her breath, trying not to alert Ubergard and Helfer. “Stop that!”

“What?” Mikael asked. “Stroking your tail?”

“Yes! For gods’ sake not in public!” Kitty said.

“Why not?”

“It’s… kind of an erotic thing for Khajiits. You should know that by now. Keep doing that and you’ll have me presenting in front of everybody!”

“Oh! And that would be… bad?” Mikael asked while playfully scratching at the base of it.

“You want to go around with your erection poking out in front of everyone? It’s kinda the same thing.”

“Point taken.”

image
As they approached a small bridge over a stream, Helfer turned to Ubergard. “Is this the dragon bridge Mikael spoke of?”

Ubergard looked at the Khajiit curiously. “This? Oh no. This is nothing. The Dragon Bridge is huge. But it’s quite a way yet to go before we see it. Still, this might be a good place to rest for a bit.”

Turning back to Mikael, Ubergard asked him if he’d like to stop.

“Sure! We’re in no hurry. We’ll be in Solitude long before nightfall.”

image
The four settled in to lounging around the bridge for a rest.

“So, Helfer. It would be good to know a little something about you, if you don’t mind. Where do you come from?”

Helfer seemed to consider the question for a while before answering. “Helfer comes from far away, but does not know the name in your words.”

“Elseweyr?” Mikael suggested hopefully. “That seems to be where most Khajiit come from anyway.”

“This could be the word. Helfer is not sure. It is a warmer place than this. But I did not go outside of the place I lived often.”

image
Ubergard frowned. “Were you held prisoner or something?”

Helfer laughed at her lover. “Oh no. I stayed with my… teacher? trainer? What do you call the person who shows you how to do things? I did not wish to go outside.”

“Teacher will probably do,” said Ubergard. “What did your teacher show you how to do?”

“Oh!” the Khajiit brightened up. “Many things! Ice, Fire, even Lightning Helfer can make! But… not so good as my teacher. Helfer is slow to learn things.”

image
As she said this, Ubergard found herself involuntarily backing away from the little Khajiit.

Kitty’s eyes grew wide. “A mage! Helfer, you’re a mage?”

Helfer suddenly hung her head and started sobbing. The Argonian’s change in attitude had not been lost on her. “No!” she cried. “Ubergod is afraid of Helfer now! Helfer regrets saying this about herself. She will not do these things, Ubergod! Never again! Helfer wishes she had never done these things now!”

Kitty immediately hugged Helfer to calm her. “It’s alright Helfer. Ubergard understands. She… we all do. But,we’re all a little afraid of magic.”

image
Ubergard overcame her immediate reaction to the revelation and took Helfer’s hands in hers. “I’m sorry, Helfer. I… well, I truly don’t like magic. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like
you. It’s just something I’ve had problems with in the past.”

Kitty spoke up, changing the subject somewhat. “And you said you wouldn’t use it anyway, so let’s just forget that. But how did you come to be here, Helfer?” Kitty continued. “If you were training to become a mage I would not expect you to be travelling so far from your college!”

Helfer’s face turned from worry over Ubergard’s reaction to one of sadness.

image
“Helfer knows this word, ‘college’. It is where mages are trained here, yes? Helfer came not from a college. Helfer was her teacher’s servant. Teacher taught Helfer magic, Helfer gave teacher pleasure. It was a happy time. But Helfer… Helfer made her teacher angry one day. Very angry. Helfer’s teacher sent Helfer here.”

Kitty and Mikael looked at each other.

“Helfer, was your teacher bad to you? Did he hurt you?” Kitty asked.

“Teacher? Teacher is not ‘he’. Teacher is ‘she’. But, oh no. Teacher was good. Very very good! Helfer… was bad. Helfer… Helfer regrets what she did. But Teacher sent her away. Helfer begged and cried, but Teacher sent her away anyway.”

image
Kitty leaned over to Mikael and whispered, “Well, at least she didn’t kill Helfer!”

Mikael nodded agreement.

“Helfer wants to walk. Can talking stop of Helfer?”

“Certainly. Let’s get moving,” Ubergard agreed.

With that, they continued down the road towards Dragon Bridge. Ubergard put her hand on the little Khajiit’s shoulder as they walked, trying to comfort her while Helfer was obviously holding back tears.

“Please do not stop talking,” Helfer choked as they continued. “Just not talk of Helfer. Tell Helfer of Dragon Bridge maybe? Helfer wants to think about other things.”

image
“Mikael may know something of that,“ Ubergard suggested.

"Well,” Mikael began. “There’s not much anyone knows about the bridge itself. It crosses a deep and strong river that is very difficult to cross otherwise. But it is ancient. Some say as old as the ruins around Skyrim, and by the look of it, that’s very likely. There’s a small village just on the far side of it, but even they can tell you nothing of it’s past.”

Helfer brightened up. “Ah! It is a mystery then! But why this name?”

“That, you’ll understand immediately when you see it, Helfer. In the center of the bridge is a huge stone dragon’s head that you must pass underneath. It is a memorable feeling, looking up at the image of a dragon just above you, not to mention the tons of stone that it represents looming over you!”

image
“Oh. Are there dragons here?”

“Well, there didn’t used to be for a long time. But now there are again, though they are rare. They seem to be attracted to heroes, giants and the like. If we should ever see one, we just hide as fast as we can!”

Ubergard bristled at this. “Speak for yourself, Bard.”

“Uber?” Kitty said quietly but sternly to the Argonian as she was helped over a fallen tree in the path.

“Yes Kitty?”

“I would like you, my friend and guard, to stay alive. Maybe you
could slay a dragon, but when I’m around I would ask that you please run and hide like the rest of us!”

image
Ubergard nodded agreement reluctantly.

Helfer looked to the giantess. “Yes, Ubergod does not need to kill dragons. Helfer could not do that, and would be very, very sad not to be able to help her!”

“Oh, don’t worry Helfer. We’ll see no dragons on this trip. Except the stone one at Dragon Bridge,” Ubergard assured her.

“Speaking of which…” Mikael said pointing to his right.

“Oh! That is the Dragon Bridge! Ubergod, it is so… big! It is… beautiful!” Helfer said, her eyes wide in wonder.

Kitty felt awestruck as well, but she also saw the plunge that ran below the bridge. While she was not particularly afraid of heights, she was not a big fan of rushing water. The combination of both did leave her a little queasy.

Kitty and Mikael were up and eating breakfast when Ubergard and Helfer got up.

“Good morning you two!” Kitty welcomed them. “How was your night?”

Ubergard looked at her curiously. “It was…” she said, looking for the right word. “Wonderful,” she finally

decided, looking down at Helfer as they finished their own breakfast.

Helfer was unusually quiet though, so Kitty tried to draw her out, “And you, Helfer? Did you sleep well?”

Helfer looked at her fellow Khajiit with a sad smile. “Like sleeping on a cloud.”

image
“Really?” Mikael said, surprised. “Jonna runs a decent inn, but I’d hardly use that term to describe the beds here!”

Helfer’s expression lightened. “Helfer slept not on the bed.”

“Oh?”

Ubergard explained. “She… slept on me.”

“And how did you like a Khajiit sleeping on top of you, Ubergard?”

Ubergard laughed, “It was like having a comfy, warm fur blanket… that purrs!”

image
Mikael looked at Kitty. “Say, that sounds like fun!”

“We’ll give it a try!”

Ubergard and Helfer got up from the table then, presenting themselves to Mikael.

“Mikael, Helfer has a question she’d like to ask you,” Ubergard started formally.

“Oh? What can I do for you Helfer?” asked the Bard.

Helfer’s expression returned to it’s sulky state. “Sir.. Is it possible, perhaps…”

“Yes?” he said, not comprehending.

“Could you allow Helfer to come with you to Solitude?”

image
Mikael looked to Ubergard, who shrugged slightly from behind the Khajiit.

“You needn’t ask me. The roads are available to anyone. You know that.”

“Yes, but Khajiit are not allowed in Solitude without permission. It is closed to us who are strangers there. You… could grant that to Helfer.”

“Oh, yes. I’d forgotten. But I have to ask you, would you pay your own way?”

At that, Helfer brightened up considerably. “Oh, yes! Helfer has gold! She would not be a burden. She can help in many things too!”

image
“Well then, by all means, join us!”

Helfer turned and looked up at Ubergard. “You… would also like Helfer to travel with you?”

“Helfer… we need to talk first. Let’s step outside for a little bit.”

At that, Helfer’s face darkened, but she nodded. “Yes. We will talk, my Ubergod.”

The two left the Inn then with Helfer’s tail practically dragging on the floor as she left, her ears down under her hood, dejectedly.

“Poor Helfer,” Kitty said to Mikael, watching her go.

Mikael could think of nothing to say.

“Still,” Kitty continued, “it is best for Ubergard to make things clear before things get too complicated.”

image
Outside, Ubergard and Helfer stepped down the steps of the inn and along the main street.

“You… don’t want Helfer with you. It is a hard thing, Ubergod. Does Helfer not give you pleasure?”

“Helfer, you gave me more pleasure last night than I knew was possible. That’s not the problem.”

“Ubergod does not like pleasure? Did Helfer offend Ubergod? She only sought to please! And perhaps take some very little pleasure herself…”

“No. Helfer, let me speak…”

image
“Last night was incredible,” the Argonian began as they strolled across a bridge and down to the river. “In fact my fear, now that you have awoken that… feeling in me, is that I could become addicted to it. It is a very, very powerful expression. One I had no experience with until last night. It goes far beyond the physical senses and touches the essence, if you understand me. I assume it does the same to you.”

The Khajiit nodded, looking away from Ubergard. “Ubergod speaks truth. It is much more to Helfer than touch.”

Ubergard came to a particularly nice spot by the river and turned to her friend, “Helfer, I’d like you to sit here with me for a minute.”

Helfer obligingly sat, looking up at the giantess.

“Helfer. I like you. I do. But I need you to understand what I’m about to say. I need you to understand it in your essence. Helfer… I don’t love you.”

The Khajiit’s eyes grew wide as they looked directly at Ubergard.

image
“What you did last night,” Ubergard continued, “has changed my life like no other person ever has. You will always be my… first. But you must understand that I don’t love you.”

“Does Ubergod understand that time may…” began Helfer.

“No.” Ubergard cut her off. “I know what I’m saying Helfer. I will always like you, but I will never love you. Not like you deserve to be loved. If you come with us, it may hurt you worse than if we separate now.”

Helfer looked away so that Ubergard did not see the evil look that came over her face momentarily.

image
When she turned back to the Argonian, her expression had changed to one of resignation.

“Helfer accepts this, Ubergod. But… does Ubergod love another?”

Ubergard considered the question. There was someone she was thinking of, perhaps. But what ever her feeling for him was, it was not love anyway. Not yet at least. Respect, and maybe a spark of something more. But not love. Still, after last night… Well. Maybe.

“No,” Ubergard replied finally. “I don’t.”

image
“Ubergod doesn’t want Helfer near, but does not love another? Ubergod does not even
like Helfer?”

“Oh, I like you plenty, Helfer!”

“Then Helfer will travel with Ubergod. For just a little while more? When Ubergod leaves Solitude, Helfer will leave Ubergod. Would this be pleasing?”

Ubergard sighed. “I just worry that it will hurt you, Helfer.”

Helfer smiled. “Hurt? No. It will not hurt. It will be pleasure. Just for a few more days. Helfer… needs more nights with Ubergod.”

Ubergard hugged the little Khajiit to herself. “I hope you’re really okay with it, kitten. I need more of those nights too.”

image
Suddenly Ubergard’s stomach gurgled.

Helfer laughed and dropped to her knees instantly, hugging Ubergard’s belly to her ear. “Breakfast!” she giggled.

Ubergard looked around, but by now they were out of the village and no one was visible. She grinned down at the furry head and quickly climbed out of her armor while Helfer did the same. Then the giantess pulled Helfer’s head back to her stomach.

image
Shortly after that, she pushed Helfer down just a bit lower. The Khajiit happily complied, wrapping one paw under the Argonian’s tail and the other up between Ubergard’s legs. Ubergard found she enjoyed being somewhat in control and not worrying about it. After making sure her partner was agreeable, she held the Khajiit firmly and rubbed herself over her lover’s muzzle in ecstacy while Helfer’s rough tongue and hands did their magic. As her mind became more feral, Ubergard consoled herself knowing that she’d soon trade places.

They did not return to the inn for another hour…

image

In fact, Ubergard finally emerged well into the evening, looking more than a little dazed and perhaps a bit wobbly on her feet.

“Uber? Are you alright?”

Ubergard seemed to struggle to focus on her friend, “Oh, gods Kitty. I…” she started, wide-eyed. Then she seemed to compose herself before continuing. “I’m sorry, Kitty. It’s all a bit overwhelming for me. But I’m certainly fine. In fact, I feel better than I have since… Ever! But I need a bath. Do you know if there’s one here somewhere? Oh, and
please don’t wake Helfer.”

Jonna ended up showing her down to the cellar where a bath was drawn for her. When she returned, she had reattached the armor fully and looked in on Helfer before returning to Kitty and Mikael.

Mikael just smiled at her.

“Don’t you say anything, Mikael!” she warned.

image
“Good then?” Kitty ventured.

The big Argonian uncharacteristically smiled and sighed as she slid on the bench and table, practically melting. Both Kitty and Mikael looked at each other and laughed.

“Yes,” Kitty smiled at Ubergard, who obviously didn’t care how UN-disciplined she looked at the moment, “That’s pretty much exactly what it feels like when it’s good.”

“Kitty, I think if I was a little more selfish than I am, I would stay in there for a week. Worse yet, I think Helfer would too.”

“I can imagine worse things. We’re over the mountains now. Really, if you wanted to, you could you know.”

image
Ubergard straightened up. “Thank you Kitty, but though I had no idea what it was like, it’s also something I could get addicted to. I must not do that. For my own sake, I cannot stay.”

Kitty nodded understanding, along with Mikael.

“You’re lucky, Mikael. You males can only do it so many times before you’re rendered incapable as I understand it. Imagine if you never had to stop!”

“We’d never leave the bedroom, Uber. Welcome to our world!”

“But… It’s wrong of me. I like Helfer. But… I just
like her. I feel like I’m using her.”

“That,” Kitty said sadly, “is something you will need to work out on your own.”

image
Ubergard nodded.

That was when Lurbuk started his wailing again. Mikael eyed the door but Kitty shook her head.

However, when Helfer sulkily called to Ubergard, leaning on the door to their room and signaled for Ubergard to come back in, the Argonian sighed. “Duty calls!” she said, slid in behind her lover and closed the door. Though she acted as if she was reluctant to go, Kitty noticed a spring in her step that belied her feigned reticence.

image
Kitty looked at Mikael with an evil grin. Mikael, imitating Ubergard sighed too. “Duty calls!” and they both waved to Jonna goodnight.

Jonna nodded, then looked at her Bard scornfully. “LURBUK!”

“Yes?” the Orc asked innocently.

“Perhaps just some instrumentals for a little bit?”

The Orc complied, somewhat regretfully. Fortunately his talent with musical instruments was significantly better than that of his singing.

image
Later, Ubergard found herself stretched out on the bed.

“You know, Helfer, I just took a bath and now you’ve got me all… messy again!”

Helfer laughed. “I do not remember when you told me to stop, my Ubergod.”

“Come to think of it, I don’t think I did,” Ubergard admitted. “But please, some rest.”

“Yes. Some rest. I fear the morning will come too quickly though, and sleep will not be a friend tonight.”

image
With that, Helfer rested her head on the big Argonian’s stomach. “You are very large, my Ubergod. Your size makes me… attracted to you. I apologize though, Ubergod. I have… unusual likes.”

“You needn’t apologize, Helfer. I have such little experience, I barely know what is considered normal myself. But you’ve done nothing with me that I didn’t enjoy myself, so perhaps I too like unusual things.”

Suddenly, Ubergard’s stomach gurgled. She began to apologize, but Helfer laughed and put her ear to Ubergard’s stomach. “Do it again! It is something I like too!”

“I’m sorry, Helfer. It’s not something I have control…” Ubergard began, when suddenly it happened again. “Too much wine, probably.”

image
“Oh, it is so
deep!” Helfer squealed. Instead of being offended, Helfer reached underneath Ubergard and began to lick the Argonian’s stomach, eyes closed and obviously enjoying herself.

“I only wish I were able to do it on command, since you like it so! But maybe I can do something else…” and with that Ubergard applied her own tongue to the part of Helfer that presented itself.

image
A few minutes and a few stomach growls later, Ubergard found herself with her snout pinned underneath Helfer as the Khajiit yowled her pleasure before collapsing on top of Ubergard.

The Argonian held her close, knowing now what the other was experiencing and how good it felt to be held afterwards, even in the rather unusual position they were in now. She let Helfer stay on top of her for a long time.

image
“Sleeping?” she finally asked.

“No. Helfer is not asleep. Helfer is… floating.”

Ubergard nodded, which caused a laugh from the Khajiit. “You tickle my… what do you call this?”

Ubergard told her the word, using the term that seemed to her most appropriate for the body part of a female Khajiit.

“Ah. You make me very happy, Ubergard. But I will release you now.”

image
As Helfer climbed off, Ubergard got up. “No, you lay back down. I want to see something…”

Helfer shrugged and took Ubergard’s place. This time it was Ubergard who laid her head upon the Khajiit’s middle.

“You like rumble tummy too?” she asked, trying to look down at her friend.

“I… don’t know. But I do hope to find out! Since you like it so much, maybe I do too?”

“It could be so. But Helfer doesn’t make this noise often.”

image
Ubergard held one finger to her mouth. “Shhh. Let’s see!”

Helfer complied, laying back and being silent.

Ubergard frowned. “Maybe you need some stimulus,” she suggested and began prodding the Khajiit’s soft belly gently but firmly with her knuckles.

The Khajiit closed her eyes and let the powerful Argonian do as she pleased.

A gurgle, almost like an abdominal purr, was finally heard, at which Helfer looked to the Argonian. “Did you hear?”

image
“Oh yes, I heard!”

“You like it as I do?”

“Perhaps not as you do, Helfer, but don’t feel bad. I do like these!” Ubergard said, moving up on the Khajiit’s torso and continuing her massaging upwards.

Once again the Khajiit laid back and closed her eyes as the Argonian continued to explore and stimulate her.

The night passed very slowly, but finally they did both go to sleep in the small bed, with Helfer sleeping directly on top of Ubergard where their her last climax had left her.

image
Before falling asleep herself, Ubergard was thinking. As wonderful as the night had been, she knew deep within her that it was not right. The little Khajiit certainly had taken her own share of pleasure. Hopefully that would be enough. But, as much as Ubergard liked her, she knew that she didn’t
love her. But she feared the reverse may not be the case. She would have to explain to Helfer in the morning. But that was still some hours off, and the warmth of the slowly breathing furry rug on top of her was much more comforting than any blanket. She fell to sleep, listening to the deep and peaceful purring of the Khajiit.
image

CatDance #14

Helfer scrambled over to Ubergard and began fumbling with something at the back of her armor.

“Wait! What are you doing Helfer?” asked Ubergard with some concern.

“You cannot sleep with this metal. I take off pointy parts.”

“Sorry Helfer, the pauldron’s aren’t remov…” Ubergard was saying when suddenly something on her armor
shifted.

image
“Pointy bits are off. Now you can rest better.”

Ubergard was stunned, looking down at not only the pauldrons, but the ‘tail’ of her armor now resting on the floor near the bed. “How on EARTH did you do that? Can you put them back on again?”

“Of course. You did not know? Daedric have hidden ways, but Helfer knows many things. Helfer is not stupid, just doesn’t speak well.”

image
“Can you show me?”

“It is tricky. Cannot be done easily. But yes, Helfer will show you. You must remove chainsuit to see the back, then I can show you how it is done.”

Ubergard looked up at Mikael.

Kitty took Mikael by the arm and led the clueless man out of the room. "Come Mikael. Last night was necessity. Let Ubergard undress in peace.“

"Huh? Oh! Of course! Sorry Uber.”

image
When the two had gone, Ubergard quickly got out of the chainmail and before long she too had learned how the pauldrons and back could be removed.

As she was climbing back into her chainmail, she thanked the Khajiit. “You
are a Khajiit who knows many things,Helfer! I’ve worn this armor for five years and have never known that could be done.”

“Helfer does know many things, Ubergod. Helfer is happy to help you learn this. Perhaps you might reward Helfer now?”

“What reward would you like? I don’t carry much in the way of gold, but what I have is yours.”

“Helfer needs no gold. Helfer needs love. Could you love Helfer?”

image
Ubergard was taken aback. “Love? What do you mean?”

Helfer proceeded to show her what she meant.

“Whoa! Hold on a minute, Helfer! I don’t think you meant love. I think you meant sex!”

image
“Sex? I am sorry. I am still learning this way of talking. I mean when you touch to give pleasure. Is this not love?”

“It… It can be called that. But this touching is done when people know each other better, and they both want to. I’m sorry Helfer, but I don’t know you that well yet!”

Helfer thought about that for a minute. “Ah. Yes. It is the same with my people. But I have been long without people or love. I am too eager. I am sorry, Ubergod. In my hurry I have offended. I have been long away from other people. I am sorry. I will go.”

The look she gave Ubergard was one of utter despair as she walked towards the door.

“Wait.” Ubergard said.

image
The Khajiit turned back, still sad but with an obvious light of hope in her eyes.

“Come back, Helfer. I owe you my life.”

“I would not ask if it offends…”

“No. I don’t know you very well yet Helfer. But… If all you ask is physical love…”

“It is my greatest desire, Ubergod, but I would not demand.”

image
“Let’s go get another room, Helfer… one with a door.”

Helfer’s eyes all but shone with anticipation.

“But Helfer. You should know. I have little experience in such things.”

Helfer looked surprised. “You? I did not think this would be a thing you had no knowledge of!”

Ubergard sighed. “I’m afraid it’s true. I’ve not been with a male, or a female for that matter. I do not engage in such things.”

Helfer smiled. “Then I shall be soft. Perhaps another thing I will show you that you did not know?”

Ubergard laughed at that. “I suspect everything you show me I do not know!”

image
The two retired to a more private, though smaller, room after Ubergard had explained quickly to Kitty. Fortunately, the Bard at the Moorside Inn was an orc. What he lacked in talent, he tended to make up for in volume, so that any embarrassing sounds that may have escaped the privacy of their room was lost in Lurbuk’s enthusiastic wailing.

Kitty and Mikael, however, had long since gone outside during his ‘singing’ for a stroll around the town. When they returned, they decided to be sure he had finished before entering. As Kitty put her ear to the door, Mikael took the opportunity to grind her from behind playfully.

“I’m very sorry Mikael, but no matter
how much you try, there’s no opening in this outfit down there for you,” she responded in mock sympathy. "Now if you don’t let me go, dry humping is all you’re going to get tonight!“

image
Helfer was getting some wine from Jonna when they sat back down at a table. She stepped lightly to Kitty and Michael, completely naked. Somehow Kitty was no longer so surprised at unexpected nudity. It seemed almost expected these days. Other than Jonna though, the tavern was empty so she did not cause any issue.

"Kitty, did you know Ubergod was… what is the word? no experience?”

“Virgin I think you mean,” Kitty replied, while Mikael expertly acted as if he was involved in something else.

image
“Yes. Virgin. But she is lovely. She tried so hard to not make noise, but I would not let her go so easily. She sleeps now, but she smiles as she dreams. I think maybe we will be inside for a while. Perhaps you can bring food later?”

Kitty nodded. “Sure Helfer. But be gentle with her. For all her size, she is, as you say, inexperienced in these things.”

Helfer smiled over her shoulder as she returned to the room, “Perhaps not so inexperienced now, Kitty!”

image
Mikael couldn’t help but snort a bit at that.

“What? Everyone has a first time! So what if Ubergard is a bit… late to the party?”

“Helfer certainly seems eager enough!”

“I hope she’s not overdoing it though.”

“Uber’s a big girl. I’m sure she’d not allow Helfer more liberty than she’s comfortable with. Besides, given Helfer’s new ‘Eau de Ubergard’ perfume and rather… shall we say, ‘moist’ whiskers, I’d guess Uber’s quite comfortable.”

image

CatDance #13

Kitty immediately turned back to her friend as she slowly regained consciousness. Her eyes remained unfocused for quite some time and the words she mumbled were unintelligible to Kitty. Mikael returned to her side as she and Helfer anxiously watched the giantess.

“Probably Jel,” Mikael noted. “If only Muz-Ra were here.”

Then finally Ubergard’s delirium seemed to pass and she looked squarely at Kitty. “Water?” was the first word she managed, and Mikael ran out to get some.

She then turned to Helfer and, for the first time in their acquaintance, Kitty saw fear on the big Argonian’s face. She let out a screech the likes of which Kitty had never heard before and promptly fell unconscious again. Even Helfer herself appeared shocked at the outburst and broke down in tears, crying “Ubergod” over and over.

image
Upon returning to the room, Mikael found Kitty holding not Ubergard, but Helfer.

“What is it? What happened?” He asked, looking from the pair back to Ubergard who was once again laying inert but breathing deeply.

“She hates me. My Ubergod hates me!” Helfer sobbed.

“She doesn’t hate you, Helfer. She doesn’t even know you yet. She just wasn’t expecting to see a stranger so close, I’m sure. Mikael, take Helfer outside for a few minutes. I’ll try to bring Ubergard around again.

image
Helfer didn’t protest as Mikael led her out of the room. Then Kitty tried to revive Ubergard again. This time she was successful and Kitty gave her the water that Mikael had left.

"Here you go, Uber.”

“Kitty? Where am I? Wha…. OW!” she suddenly shouted, having touched the livid scars on her face.

“Relax Ubergard, but don’t touch that. You fell off the mountain. You’d lost a lot of blood and we brought you to the inn here in Morthal.”

image
“Fell? How?”

“No idea. I thought you’d know!! We found you at the bottom. Oh Ubergard, you’d lost a lot of blood but there was a Khajiit there that saved your life with a health potion. She’s been at your side since we found you.”

“A Khajiit?”

“Yes. Her name is Helfer. You don’t remember?”

“A Khajiit? I don’t recall any Khajiit. The last thing I remember… Well… The last thing I remember was Mikael.”

“Mikael? What about him?”

image
“He… well. He had his face in my boobs. But he certainly didn’t intend to. He just woke up that way.”

“Your… really? Well he’d
better not have intended to.”

“He didn’t. Don’t tell him I told you. I know it was an accident.”

“But, you don’t remember anything after that? Going outside?”

Ubergard thought for a minute, accidentally touching her face again. “OW! Damn that hurts.” She said, sitting up. Then she realized. “Oh, Kitty! What do I look like?”

image
Kitty smiled a sympathetic smile. “Well, now you look more like a warrior anyway. Oh don’t worry about that Uber. You’ve got some scars on that side, but it’s not so bad. How do you feel?”

Ubergard lay back down on the bed. “Dizzy. Sorry Kitty, I don’t remember anything after that.”

“Uber… when you woke up just a few minutes ago, Helfer was in bed watching over you. You screamed. It scared the life out of her. Hell it scared the heck out of me! You sure you don’t remember her? She really was concerned about you, you know. I think she likes you.”

“And you say she saved my life? Where is she?”

“I had Mikael take her out to the tavern.”

image
“Well, please let her back in. I want to thank her. I can’t imagine why I’d do that.”

“Sure. Just wait here. I’ll bring her in.”

A few minutes later, Kitty brought a timid and nervous Helfer across the doorway. In a soft voice, not daring to enter too far, she whispered, “Ubergod”?

At her voice, the Argonian looked up. For a moment, the look of fear entered her face again, but then she closed her eyes and shook her head. When she looked up again, her face was back to normal. “Hello… Helfer?”

“Ubergod? Is it alright? Can I come to you?”

image
“Of course, Helfer. I owe you my life. I’m sorry about before. I’m was not thinking very clearly yet. Come, sit beside me. I was very lucky to have you find me.”

“I… I would love to sit with you,” Helfer said, practically trembling with delight. “Kitty says you are Ubergard, but I see Ubergod. That is my name for you. Is it alright for you?“

Ubergard laughed, then winced has the scars reasserted their presence. "Certainly. You can call me anything you like.”

“Thank you Ubergod. You can call me Helfer. I will be your Helfer. We will be together.”

image
Ubergard looked questionably at Kitty, but she could only shrug.

Mikael returned then. Seeing Helfer at Ubergard’s side, he relaxed. “Oh. Nice to see you back Ubergard! You scared us for a bit. I see you’ve met Helfer. You’re a tough old lizard though. Anyone else falling from that height would be dead for sure!”

Ubergard looked down at her armor. “Saved me again, I suspect. That and my friend here. I only wish I had a helmet made of the same stuff!” she said. “But tell me, Mikael, and be honest. How do I look?”

Mikael looked at Kitty, but got no help from her. “Ubergard, you’ll always have scars there. I can’t lie about that. But I don’t know what your kind think of such things or how you’d look to others. Yet I can say without reservation that it’s really not that bad. Later I’ll get you a plate and you can see for yourself.”

image
“Later? There’s no need to stay here. I’ll be ready to go in just an hour or two, I’m sure.”

“There’s no rush Ubergard. Let’s just stay overnight and we’ll see how you feel in the morning.”

“Yes. And I will stay with you, Ubergod. I will make you sleep better. You need comfort before you leave,” Helfer added. “One night you will stay with Helfer. Maybe more?”

“If you want to stay with me, Helfer, it’s the least I can do.”

Kitty and Mikael searched around the tent but found nothing. They discussed splitting up to search and the wisdom of shouting her name, settling on taking the risk of calling for her but staying together.

“UBER! WHERE ARE YOU UBER?” Kitty called.

“UBERGARD!” Mikael shouted repeatedly, but no response was heard.

“Nothing. Well, up or down do you think?” asked Mikael.

“Let’s try down. I can’t think of any reason she’d have gone up anyway.”

image
Mikael nodded and they started down the slope towards the trees below, calling as they went. It wasn’t long before they heard an answer, though it clearly wasn’t Ubergard.

“Here! Ubergod lies here!” came a voice on their right.

The two looked at each other, but decided that no one with evil intent would reveal their location like that, and followed the voice.

“Hello? Who are you?” Mikael called ahead, just making out a figure at the base of a cliff, kneeling over something.

Kitty, however, had dropped to all fours and easily outran Mikael.

image
Kitty couldn’t help but notice that it lay directly below their campsite above and feared the worst.

As they approached, the figure resolved into a small Khajiit in a hooded robe. “She lives. She sleeps but will not awaken,” she called as they realized that it was Ubergard’s body laying on the ground before her. A nasty red stain under her head revealed the seriousness of her injury and Kitty choked back tears as she ran to her friend.

“I gave health potion to her, but it is not enough,” the stranger said to Mikael. “She lay here long before I found her. Ubergod is very large.”

“Uber
gard,” Kitty corrected, “and thank you, stranger.”

“To help life is the duty of all, but I have not much potion nor experience. I gave her all.”

image
By this time Kitty had retrieved her own vial and managed to get some more down Ubergard’s throat. While the magical potion did seem to restore her vitality somewhat, the big Argonian remained unconscious. Mikael tenderly lifted her head, then set it back down.

“Is it bad?” Kitty asked Mikael, not knowing what else to do.

“It’s not good. I’m no doctor, but if she survives, she’ll have a nasty scar at the very least. I’m going to rig up a stretcher and we will carry her to Morthal. There’s not much else I can do here. The health potion has stopped the bleeding. I’d get a blanket, but it feels like her armor is keeping her warm so that shouldn’t be a problem,” Mikael replied. “I’ll go get some leather and poles from the tent and pack up the rest. You stay here and watch over her. And give her some water if you can. She’s bound to be dehydrated from the loss of all that blood. I’ll be back as quick as I can.”

image
With that, Mikael left and Kitty composed herself. “This is not a time to go all blubbery. Think Kitty!” Then she looked up at the stranger. “Thank you again. You probably saved her life. I have no right to ask, but do you think you could help us move her?”

“I would be honored to help Ubergod, friend Khajiit. Ubergod is not going to be easy to move if she does not awaken. She is very large. But to me she is Ubergod. I will help.”

Kitty noticed the odd phrasing, and concluded the Khajiit must not be from around here, yet also did not speak in the standard Khajiit manner.

“Thank you, friend Khajiit. My name is Kitty. Would you tell me yours?”

“My name is Gahilfa but you should call me Helfer. That is my name for you to use,” the strange Khajiit replied. “Kitty?”

Kitty turned to her fellow Khajiit, “Yes?”

“Kitty, Helfer is not stupid. I don’t know your speech. I don’t talk much. But Helfer is not stupid. Remember please.”

Kitty nodded and turned back to Ubergard.

image
Kitty began to straighten out Ubergard so that she could be lifted onto the stretcher after she got Ubergard to drink some water, though the swallowing was obviously just reflexive. It did not appear that Ubergard would be waking up anytime soon.

Suddenly she felt an odd sensation along her flank. Turning, she saw that Helfer was stroking her. Looking up, the stranger said, “This is unusual cloth. It is much smooth. It makes me like you. I like Ubergod clothes too. I like them very much.”

Kitty was a bit confused. “Do you… do you want my clothes as payment? I have other clothes. I would give you this if you want it.”

At that, Helfer pulled away. “Oh no! No payment for Helfer. I only like it. I like it very much. Maybe another payment, later. Payment in love from Ubergod. She is very large. We must make her well.”

image
Kitty nodded at this strange response, not quite sure of what to make of her. But by then Mikael had returned with the improvised stretcher and had packed the campsite into his inventory.

The three struggled somewhat to bring the stricken Argonian down the side of the mountain, but Helfer did well and was surprisingly strong given her size. Fortunately Morthal was near and within the hour they had reached the town.

Mikael knew the barkeeper, Jonna, at the tavern known as The Moorside Inn. With her cajoling of some local patrons of the bar, they soon had Ubergard resting comfortably in one of the rooms.

image
“So, now you travel with Argonians and Khajiit eh, Mikael?” the dark-skinned Redguard asked.

“I travel with anyone who desires my company, Jonna. You should know that.”

“Oh, I do! Myself included once upon a time. But it’s good to see you again. Traveling to Solitude?”

“Yes. My annual pilgrimage.”

“So, what happened?”

“We were camping in the mountains on our way here. Apparently Ubergard went out at night and fell over a cliff somehow. That’s the best we can figure. The other Khajiit, Helfer, she’s not really with us. But she found Ubergard and helped us bring her here. She saved Ubergard’s life with some healing potion. Other than that, we really don’t know anything about her.”

image
“She’s an odd one, but we have seen her around. No one’s talked to her before though. I think she came from somewhere to the west, but that could just be a rumor. And Kitty? Is that the ‘Kitty’ we’ve heard about from Whiterun? The one with the castle?”

“Oh, you’ve heard of her up here?”

“Just gossip. But don’t worry, the gossip is good. Something about finding a chest of gold and getting rich gives people hope. She’ll be welcome in Morthal. Say, are you two…?”

Mikael smiled. “Are we what?” he asked, daring her to say it.

The Redguard frowned. “Alright, if you insist! Are you fucking her?”

“Nonsense!” Mikael replied. “I’m standing here talking to you!”

image
“Ok, ok. If you don’t want to say, then don’t. None of my business anyway. Though I must admit, for a furry, she’s kinda cute.”

Mikael turned to look at his lover, sitting in the room nearby with Helfer and Ubergard. “Yes. She is, isn’t she? For a furry.”

Jonna smiled. She was no dolt when it came to people, and she now knew all she needed to about Mikael and Kitty’s relationship from his expression when he looked at her. “Too bad,” she said.

Mikael turned back to her. “Yes. Ubergard is a good friend. I do hope she’ll be alright.”

“Oh, I didn’t mean that. You’re going to have a tough time, Mikael.”

image
“You and Kitty. Even if people come to accept her, they’re going to have a tough time accepting your relationship.”

Mikael looked at Jonna directly. “You might be surprised. Have you heard the Jarl is dating an Argonian?”

Jonna conceded. “Good point. Maybe around Whiterun anyway, you’ll be accepted. But it’s still going to be tough. It’s hard enough when you are the same species. But I wish you luck.”

“Thanks Jonna. So you think…”

“Definitely. You won’t leave her. I see it in your eyes.”

Mikael sighed. “I suppose you’re right.”

image
“Still, you’re not married yet! You know where my room is. You can always drop in for a quickie if you want. It’ll be like old times!”

Mikael smiled slyly at the woman. “Sorry Jonna, not enough fur.”

At that, she slapped him firmly but with a smile and they both laughed, causing Kitty to look back at him through the door in curiosity. Next to her, Ubergard began to groan…
