Skeever with a Slingshot
My story CatDance #4 had a throwaway line from K’rris:
K’rris spoke up then. “H. Be reasonable. You and I both know this valley could be defended by a Skeever with a slingshot. You don’t need me. Kitty does.”
To which a reader over at SoFurry commented:
“If you can actually manage a render of a skeever with a slingshot (bikini or ranged weapon) we will all be duly impressed :3 “
Never one to back down from a challenge, I came up with this:

While I did cheat in multiple ways to get this, it wasn’t as obvious as just pasting a picture of a slingshot into a Skyrim shot. Instead:
First, the slingshot is from this mod:
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68417/?
The Skeever is a WereSkeever from:
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61545/?
But werewolves can’t be posed and can’t wield weapons. There I did some crafty photomanipulation. I had one of my characters aim the slingshot, posed in such a way that her body didn’t block the view of the slingshot save her hand wrapped around the grip. Then, without moving the camera or allowing time to pass, I moved her out of the frame and moved the wereskeever into the frame (who I’d already caught in mid-werewolf swipe) and positioned him to cover the grip with his claw.
Then, with the background layer of the wereskeever and the foreground layer of my character wielding the slingshot, I carefully “erased” her from the picture, leaving the slingshot behind.
And thus, a Skeever with a slingshot.
I may or may not use this in an upcoming CatDance post. It’s so weird I probably won’t actually.
Also, apologies for not having my WereSkeever wearing a slingshot bikini. That would have just been wrong in SO many ways!
And yes – that is wasting time when I could be doing CatDance #5. But… it was a challenge to my skills dontcha see? I can’t let that go unanswered!
